Decorating a Log Home

decorating a log home with a sea shell collectionDecorating a log home presents unique challenges not found in other homes.

Today's log homes bear little resemblance to the log homes of yesteryear.  Our forefathers had small, simple homes that were practical, with none of the beautiful features we see today.

That simple fact gives you hundreds of possibilities to express yourself when planning and decorating your log or timber home.

However, keep in mind that the look you want for your new home may take a lot of thoughtful consideration and careful planning.

Perhaps your first decision will be the general theme that you want for your log home.  This will reflect your style, interests and personality.

Keeping that in mind, you can build on that theme, perhaps choosing mini-themes for each of your rooms.

Log and timber homes are rustic by nature. Take time to explore my  articles on rustic home decorating and products that will make your home stand out from the crowd!
